Big Island Eco Adventures Zipline
Tours offers two outstanding zip line courses in the Historic Kohala area. You
can choose the usual Hawaii Zipline Tour that consists of eight zip lines,
soaring tree platforms, one elevated suspension bridge, or the nine zipline
course that has several long suspension bridges with two thirty foot vertical
rappels. Hawaii Zipline Tours has the only “aerial trekking canopy course” on
the Big Island. Just to let you know, once you are off the first suspension
bridge and on the first tree platform, your feet won’t touch the ground for the
entire zip line tour! With, of course, the exception of a rest room break and a
snack, but other than that get ready to zip, zoom, and soar across the canopy
of the beautiful rainforest on the Big Island. So your question is now…how do
you get to the ground for a break? You
get to the ground on your personal elevator, a thirty foot vertical free
hanging rappel! Don’t worry, your trained guide will show you exactly how easy
it is to zip, rappel, and navigate the suspension bridge. All guests are
clipped into redundant belay anchor points anytime you are off the ground.
After a rest stop and snack you are now ready for the exciting second portion of the
course where longer and more challenging zip lines awaits your arrival. The grand finale is a 1,100 foot tandem line that invites a competitive race between you and your family or friends. This zip line crosses over the famous fluming ditch tour, the Kohala Ditch.
Don’t miss the fun and excitement with Big Island Eco Adventures Zipline Tours as you sail through the rainforest, hike through the tropical rainforest, picnic by a
waterfall, and enjoy an adventure ride in our Swiss Pinzgauer truck on a secluded eco reserve…watch out for the wild pigs and cows! Whether you are a novice zipline guest or a totally experienced zipline enthusiast, the Big Island Eco Adventure Zipline Tour will create memories to last for a lifetime! Recommended attire for the Big Island Hawaii Zipline is knee-length shorts or pants, closed toed shoes, extra water, backpack, shirts with sleeves, and your camera or a video camera.
